OK I will let you know how it goes. Also switching my router channel to 1 helped half of the problem is my router but still, the touchpad is also causing it. I appreciate all you generous help.

no it does not work? My only option is to flash a nightly even if that will work. I just don't understand why nothing will work for me.

I had a similar problem with a netgear router nothing I did seemed to work, swapping it for a belkin play HD one and everything works perfectly and very rarely drops a connection but when they changed the wifi drivers I had some problems then the latest nightlys came out everything was back to normal

Yep its a netgear router! So Bigsimon (btw thanks for EVERYTHING. just know its appreciated) What do you recommend i do? So far here is what i have: cm9 alpha 2 running the new drivers you gave me, also installed that wifi fix from the link on xda. Should i do a nightly? I dont think it will help though cause of the router. I think i have done all i can on the hp tp's end. The connection problems have been a bit better but still drop sometimes. Again thank you!

Only thing I can suggest is to try the latest nightly, if you do a full backup in CWM you can always go back, as most people have found that this has fixed there wifi problems but not guaranteed, there's not much else you can do other than buying a new router but personally I would try a new rom first as its the cheaper option.
