Ok so with the help of a developer friend, we have come up with a possible fix for the wifi issues on cm. We have found that netgear routers have the highest rate of "dropping" the touchpads... Here are the solutions me and my chap have come up with:

Set wifi channel to "2" This changed the band of your wireless broadcast from the router.. This can be changed by going to your router page (usually type in 192.168.1.1)

Get the 3-29 nightly with the 3-17 gapps

An voilia! you have yourself a fixed wifi issue. NOW PLEASE NOTE: We have tested this VERY VERY heavily and no drops. We cannot guarantee any success as results may vary. This is confirmed to work on a netgear router using channel 2 and he 3-29 nightly. Please report your outcome below. We are completely rewriting the wifi drivers to a new kernel based atheros chip form and will also be testing those soon. We cant guarantee we will release them but we are sure they will work! Cheers and good luck.

There's an app on the play store that will help find the best channel called wifi analyzer also netgear routers don't like moblie or cordless phones, microwaves, fridges or anything that gives any sort of radio or electrical signal out that's near its own frequency, seems there a bit fussy, wonder if they are the female routers of this world
